All day I been going from overlook to overlook in China's Zhangjiajie
National Forest when our bus pulled up to yet one more stop. It was
drizzling rain and a few people got off the bus. I wasn't sure where
they were going, but I felt that one more trail in the falling rain
wasn't going to do anything new for me anyway so I stayed in my
seat. A kind lady from Singapore boarded the bus and we began talking
and she showed me photos on the back of her camera. Even though her
photos didn't look anything like this, I was so impressed with the beauty of the
landscape that I got off the bus at the next stop and caught the
first bus back the other way. Had it not been for our encounter I
would have missed this incredible image and dozens of others. The
irony of it is that when she sees this page she will see what she
missed! |
