A trail that leadeth me through pastures, and I
am sure that, earlier in the growing season, these pastures were
quite green. This scene introduced me to photography on the
South Island. It was 8:00 a.m. my first morning in New Zealand,
and although I tried a few sunrise photos, this was my first
photogenic subject. An excursion up through the rocks is a
popular hike here. You can get some feel for the size of these
rocks by noticing how  small the trail looks by the time it
disappears over a hill that is still some distance away from the
				rocks. |
